Canadian physicians, nurses, dentists, and pharmacists are heavily recruited by healthcare networks across Saudi Arabia, from King Faisal Specialist Hospital to major regional health clusters. However, before practicing medicine in the Kingdom, foreign healthcare workers must register with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) via the Mumaris+ portal.
Securing your professional classification requires both Primary Source Verification (DataFlow) and an official Apostille Certificate on your Canadian medical credentials. Because Saudi Arabia is a Hague Apostille Convention member, Canadian public documents no longer require complex embassy legalization—a single Hague Apostille from Ontario’s Official Document Services (ODS) or Global Affairs Canada (GAC) provides full recognition.
At Crown Seal Notary, we help Hamilton medical professionals prepare certified true copies and notarized documents for their SCFHS file.
Please note: Crown Seal Notary is an independent notary public, not a government agency. We do not issue apostilles, verify credentials or submit applications. Apostilles are issued only by the government authority, and SCFHS makes all licensing decisions.
KEY DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BY SCFHS
To complete your SCFHS professional classification and licensing file, you will typically need notarized and apostilled copies of:
- Medical Degrees & Diplomas: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Bachelor of Nursing (BSN), Bachelor of Pharmacy, or specialist credentials.
- Official Academic Transcripts: Full course breakdowns issued directly by your Canadian university.
- License & Board Certifications: Certificates of Good Standing from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), or national specialty boards.
- Proof of Work Experience: Sworn affidavits or notarized employment verification letters from hospitals or clinic networks.
THE 3-STEP APOSTILLE PROCESS FOR SAUDI ARABIA
In-Person Document Inspection & Notarization: An Ontario notary public at Crown Seal Notary examines your original degree or licensing certificate, prepares a certified true copy, and applies an official signature and seal.
Official Apostille Issuance: The notarized document goes to Official Document Services (ODS), the Ontario government office that issues apostilles for documents notarized in Ontario. You can submit it yourself, or we can forward it for you. The apostille is issued only by that government office.
Mumaris+ & DataFlow Upload: Once you receive the apostilled document, you scan and upload it to your Mumaris+ application for DataFlow primary source verification.
