Crown Seal Notary respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through csnotary.org, how we use it, and your choices. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
Bookings and enquiries. When you book an appointment or contact us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, appointment time and notes about the service you need.
Appointments. To provide notary and commissioning services we review identification and documents you bring. We keep only the records we are required or permitted to keep.
Invoices and appointment emails. If we send you an invoice, a receipt or an appointment confirmation, we keep the details needed to do that. We do not run a mailing list or newsletter.
Website usage. Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Google tag, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the results of our Google advertising.
Google Ads and enhanced conversions
We use Google Ads to reach people looking for notary services. When you complete a booking after visiting from one of our ads, the Google tag may send Google information you entered in the booking form, such as your email address, phone number and name. This information is hashed (converted into an unreadable code) in your browser before it is sent. Google uses it to match the booking to an ad interaction so we can measure our advertising. How we use your information
We use your information to schedule and provide our services, contact you about your appointment, send invoices and receipts, answer questions, improve our website and measure our advertising.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business (for example website hosting, email, and Google for advertising measurement), when you ask us to, or when required by law.
Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
